Dear John,

February was Heart Month and WomenHeart took the opportunity to shine a spotlight on women's heart health, engaging WomenHeart Champions, our social media followers, women with heart disease and other stakeholders. Take a look at some of what we did!

  • Our annual #29DaysofHeart campaign in honor of Black History Month and Heart Month engaged over 16 partner organizations, included live interviews with Champions and reached thousands of people with our messages about heart disease in Black women.
  • We participated in Heart Failure Awareness Week and in Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day.
  • We held our first Heart Walk-A-Thon, which allowed WomenHeart Champions the opportunity to compete for the most miles walked and to raise funds for WomenHeart.
  • We hosted a HeartTalks webinar on thriving with heart disease and posted a blog with Champions' stories of thrivorship.
  • We completed Heart Month with a virtual Advocacy Day on March 2, meeting with lawmakers to ask for more research on heart disease in women.

And we got some exciting news to keep the momentum going post-Heart Month! From March through May, 2022, Walgreens has selected WomenHeart as a national charity of choice. Shoppers will be able to donate their Walgreens Cash rewards directly to WomenHeart! Every dollar counts. Whether you'd like to contribute $1, $5, or more of your Walgreens Cash rewards, you'll be making a big difference. It is just a few easy steps:

  1. You can sign up and join for free at myWalgreens.com or on the Walgreens app.
  2. Within the donation experience, locate WomenHeart by changing your preferred zip code to 20036 and find us on the list.

Or simply make a donation today so that we can be sure to continue delivering the most educational and impactful content that you've come to rely on us for.

Thank you for engaging with us during Heart Month and our #29DaysofHeart campaign. Because of you, it was truly a successful month in reaching new folks and educating our community on women and heart disease.

Together, we are saving lives!
