I’m so heartbroken -- I can barely write this email.

Four years ago, my nephew, Alex, was shot and killed in his classroom in Parkland, Florida. Along with 16 of his classmates and educators.

We begged lawmakers to end this epidemic, restrict firearm access, and protect our children.

But we’ve already seen 23 school shootings, 8 slaughtered, 27 shot just this year.

And it just happened again -- this time in Des Moines, Iowa.

Another kid has just been murdered and 2 more critically injured at their school.

When are we finally going to say enough is enough, stand up, and put a stop to the endless bloodshed caused by gun violence in our country?

We have to step up like never before to stop this epidemic. But as long as lawmakers who care more about profits than our childrens’ lives are in office, we will never be able to pass the reforms we desperately need. I’m tired of reading about school shootings in the news.

I’m tired of reading about students dying too soon.

But what I’m most tired of is seeing lawmakers profit off of mass shootings, turn their backs on victims of gun violence, and allow this bloodshed to continue.

We have the power to end this endless cycle of violence. But the only way to do it is to OUST every single lawmaker who refuses to take action against gun violence, ELECT gun safety champions, and BAN assault weapons for good.
