Six key lifestyle changes can help avert the climate crisis

From The Guardian opinion - Elizabeth Cripps

'Reasons for apathy' #5: “Lying in front of lorries isn't my thing”

"So don’t do that! But perhaps look past the optics that make you uncomfortable and ask yourself why anyone would feel desperate enough to glue themselves to a road. It’s not because they enjoy it. Then ask what it is that you will do. Write to your MP [Representatives]? Wave banners outside parliament? Demand that your bank or pension fund divest from fossil fuels? Donate to climate justice NGOs? Progress takes a combination of tactics, from lobbying politicians to civil disobedience. Do what you’re good at, as part of a bigger picture."

March Forth to Earth Day
Friday, March 11, 2022
12:00 - 1:00 pm

2200 E Kenwood Blvd

Masks and Physical Distancing as appropriate

Last Friday about 20 people gathered along Kenwood Blvd between the UWM Union and Maryland Av.  Despite a lot of honking, we engaged in discussions with passersby (mostly students), handed out dozens of flyers (thank you Julie Enslow), gathered many student surveys (again, Julie's) and got to make friends with other activists.  You can check out a few images here.

We don't lie in the street.
We are good at carrying signs and talking to people!

We have signs, or bring your own!

No protest at Chase Banks this week
If the temperature is below 10F, or there are weather advisories, we will not demonstrate.
