Happy International Women’s Day, friend!

Today we celebrate the contributions of women around the world – women past and present who have paved the way for future generations.

I am proud of the progress we have made in this country, but I know that we can do more. Chip in $25 to help me win reelection and keep up the fight for equality in Congress >>> [link removed]

The fight for true equality in this country has been anything but an easy task, to say the least. We still have plenty of work to do, but I do want to mark how far we’ve come.

Around the time I was born, there were only 11 women in the entirety of Congress – now, we number 145. Only 43% of women were in the workforce back then, but now, workforce participation hovers around 57%. These gains were made possible by women who worked hard and demanded their own seat at the negotiating table.

In my own life, several women come to mind who each inspired me in their own right: Alice Rivlin, the trailblazing woman economist who served as the founding Director of the Congressional Budget Office and the Office of Management and Budget; my aunt who was the first in my family to run for office as a County Commissioner; and Francis Perkins who was the first woman to be a cabinet secretary and a driving force behind a number of New Deal programs.

Each of these women has played a profound role in shaping their community and our country, and I can only hope that I will one day serve to inspire future generations of women the way my role models inspired me.

Friend, I am fighting for greater equality in Congress, and I need your help to stay in this office. Can you chip in $25 to help me win this primary? [link removed]

Thanks for your support, and happy International Women’s Day to all!

Carolyn

Carolyn Bourdeaux was the only red-to-blue pick up in 2020 and key to holding the majority in Congress. It’s no secret that Republicans are doing everything they can to bring her down including attacking her with nearly $5 million. Additionally, her primary opponent is backed by a super PAC that’s ready to spend an additional $2 million - flooding this race with dark money and special interest donors.

Carolyn is fighting for Georgians every single day. She has never taken a dime from corporate PACs and knows the power in this fight is with the people. Our campaign is fueled by 9000+ grassroots donors and counting! Chip in today to support Carolyn’s reelection this November.
