Yesterday, Congress heard from Marie Yovanovitch, a veteran diplomat who was ousted as Ambassador to Ukraine following a smear campaign against her led by Trump yes-men and loyalists like Donald Trump, Jr. and Rudy Giuliani. They wanted her gone because they knew she wouldn't go along with Trump's corrupt efforts to have Ukraine investigate his political opponents.

It was clear to everyone watching that Yovanovitch is a credible professional, dedicated to protecting our national security and our diplomatic relations with our allies. So it's no surprise that Trump's unhinged response was to attack her over Twitter in the middle of her testimony.

Trump's attacks were a clear attempt at further witness intimidation -- another offense that the House should add to the articles of impeachment.

At the very moment that Trump was abusing his power and attempting to intimidate a witness, Trump's long-time friend and ally Roger Stone was convicted of lying to federal investigators in the Mueller investigation.

We can’t continue like this. But Roger Williams refuses to stand up for Texas and for this country, and continues to put party over country and protect the president’s corruption at all costs.

That's why we need to turn the page in 2020. We need representatives in Congress who have the credibility to challenge political corruption, and who can't be bought off by special interests.

If we can win TX-25 by running a true grassroots, PAC-free campaign, it will send a remarkably powerful message -- that we can change the way we do politics in this country. So we need you with us.
