If there is one thing we learned in the last few months, it is that it is simply not good enough to have a majority of Democrats in the House and the Senate. It's that we must have a majority that are willing to side with working people and take on the greed and power of the billionaire class in this country.

Today, Bernie is asking you to split a donation between three progressives running in Texas — two for the U.S. House of Representatives and one for Attorney General. These are all strong candidates who can win.

What do you say?

Can you split a contribution between Jessica Cisneros, Greg Casar, and Lee Merritt’s campaigns in Texas? Early voting is underway, so there is no more important time to give than right now.

Jessica Cisneros is running against Henry Cuellar, a very conservative Democratic member of the House of Representatives. Cuellar voted with Donald Trump more than almost any other Democrat, despite serving in an overwhelmingly Democratic district. Last time Jessica ran against Cuellar, she came up just short. But like Cori Bush proved in Missouri, our help could make a big difference the second time around.

Greg Casar is running for Congress in Texas’ 35th Congressional District. As a member of the Austin City Council, he authored and passed paid sick day legislation that was called “the most progressive labor policy for the entire state and possibly the American South.” He also helped raise the minimum wage for the lowest-paid workers in the city by more than 200 percent, from a starvation wage of $7.25 an hour to $15 an hour with health care benefits.

Lee Merritt is running for Attorney General in Texas. Lee understands we have a broken criminal justice system that puts thousands of poor people in jail while the Wall Street crooks and pharmaceutical executives fail to be held accountable for their crimes. He has the courage to take on the powerful and make it clear no CEO is too big to jail.

All across America, in so-called “blue states” and “red states” people are hurting — they are in desperate need of elected leaders who will listen to their pain and prioritize their needs ahead of the wealthy and the powerful.

These three candidates will do just that.

But they can’t do it alone:

Please split a contribution between the Texas campaigns of Jessica Cisneros, Greg Casar and Lee Merritt. Election Day is just a few days away and early voting is underway, so please do not delay.
