It’s been nearly two years since the COVID-19 pandemic first broke out in the United States.

There’s no question that we’ve faced unprecedented challenges and struggles as a country over the past two years. But as we approach the two-year mark, we need to keep our country moving forward and rebuild it stronger than ever before.

Last year, Democrats passed the American Rescue Plan to deliver tangible aid and relief to help families, small businesses, and everyday Americans recover from the pandemic. But it’s not enough — we need to continue passing comprehensive reform to address systemic inequities exposed by the pandemic, uplift working-class Americans, and create an economy that works for everyone.

From making the expanded Child Tax Credit permanent to canceling up to $50,000 in student loan debt — I’m eager to work with my Senate Democratic colleagues and President Biden to fulfill his campaign promise of building back better.
