Throughout President Joe Biden’s first official State of the Union address last night, NARAL Pro-Choice America members were tuned in to hear the president talk about the urgency of protecting reproductive freedom in this country.

His words were powerful and unequivocal: President Biden defended Roe v. Wade as “standing precedent for half a century” and demanded that we preserve the right to decide.

We are grateful that President Biden noted this pivotal moment for reproductive freedom during his address—and we’re looking to the Biden-Harris administration to continue to champion reproductive freedom and take concrete steps to ensure that everybody has the freedom to make their own decisions about pregnancy, parenthood, and abortion care.
