Joe Biden’s first State of the Union Address will be delivered tonight, and my question for every Kansan and American is this: Are you better off?
Since his inauguration on January 20, 2021, we have seen a string of failures with devastating consequences for Americans at home and abroad.
Economically, inflation is at historic levels. Prices in the Midwest have increased by 7.9%, costing the average household in Kansas an extra $4,000 per year. When it comes to public safety, we are still seeing sharp increases in crime and drug overdoses due to a complete lack of management at our Southern border. Adding in the global conflicts in Afghanistan and Ukraine, I hope I am not alone in being gravely concerned about the state of our union.
