is building a movement of students, educators, and parents in school
districts across the United States who believe that an honest, accurate
and fully fu nded public education is the foundation for a just,
pluralistic, multiracial democracy.
Initially borne from the politically motivated attacks on Critical Race
Theory (CRT), H.E.A.L. Together provides tools for people to organize
against those who are bringing the culture wars to our schools by
banning books, censoring educators that honestly teach about race,
gender, sexual orientation, and politicizing the pandemic.
Race Forward is proud to launch the H.E.A.L. Together initiative with
partners: NYU Metro Ce nter, Schott Foundation for Public Education,
Alliance for Quality Education, Red Wine & Blue Education Fund, Women's
March, Student Voice, MomsRising/MamasConPoder, Parents Together Action,
Local Progress, and UnKoch My Campus.
