Hi team,

Sorry for the late email, but what I’m about to share with you is really important. We’re just a few hours away from our February fundraising deadline, and this month especially, we need to make sure we hit our $7,500 goal.

Ballot measures are one of the cornerstones of American democracy — they are one of the most democratic tools our nation has to offer. In the face of partisan gridlock, we’ve been able to use ballot measures to enact progress for working people across the country.

This cycle, that means expanding Medicaid to the 42,500 South Dakotans who still need it and putting millions back into the pockets of Michiganders who have been exploited and trapped in debt by predatory payday lenders.

It also means that we as American voters don’t have to rely on tyrants in our government who are more focused on stripping away LGBTQ+ freedoms and voting rights than passing policies that would improve the lives of their constituents.

But right now, team, we’re coming up short on our February goal, and hitting this deadline in just a few short hours means we can put all the resources we have available behind these life-changing campaigns.

We’re just $1,247 away from our $7,500 goal, and right now, I’m not sure if we’ll hit it. Can you pitch in whatever you can afford right now to help us get over the finish line before midnight tonight?
