SENATOR TYLER HARPER BACKS CONSTITUTIONAL CARRY LEGISLATION TO SHIELD THE 2ND AMENDMENT IN STATE SENATE
Fayetteville, GA - Today, GA2A, formerly GeorgiaCarry.org, celebrated the passage of SB319 - “Georgia Constitutional Carry Act of 2021” - and SB259 in the State Senate.

“SB 319 is the first bill on permitless carry to pass either chamber," said Jerry Henry, Executive Director of GA2A. "When permitless carry and other protections are signed by Governor Kemp, law abiding citizens will no longer be required to seek permission to exercise their God given and constitutionally enumerated right to self-defense. This legislation is a huge step forward in the fight to Shield The Second."

The group also praised Senator Tyler Harper for his unwavering support of the 2nd Amendment.

“We are proud that Senator Tyler Harper ignored the half-truths and lies perpetuated by the gun-grabbers and did the right thing for his constituents and the citizens of Georgia. We are grateful for Senator Harper's support of SB319 and SB259 and applaud his courage to stand up for our freedoms and shared values.”
Senator Tyler Harper said, "I'm proud to have voted today to bring Constitutional Carry to Georgia. I have—and will always—stand up to protect our God-given 2nd Amendment rights here in Georgia, and I look forward to the Governor signing this bill into law."
