John --
It’s been a difficult two weeks for
Wisconsin Democrats. Between Tony Evers’ failed State of the State
Address that was met with backlash for his failure to mention rising crime,
Mandela Barnes’ exposed anti-cash bail stances, and Wisconsin
Democrat Party official Lee Snodgrass’ embarrassing anti-parent
tweet that went viral, Wisconsin voters are
watching the Democrats’ failures play out in real-time.
Meanwhile, Republicans are
full-steam ahead of November, and we are constantly recruiting new
volunteers to join our efforts. If you would like to
help us bring attention to the Democrats’ failures, we would love to
have you join us! As always, thanks for all you do!

The Republican Party of Wisconsin
is praying for the people of Ukraine as they confront this egregious
attack by Vladimir Putin on their sovereignty. Joe Biden promised to
keep Putin in check, but he failed, and even a former Obama official
admitted that Biden’s Putin strategy isn’t working. Biden has spent
months emboldening Russia and Putin, and his weakness created this
latest foreign policy disaster after he emboldened ISIS-K and Al Qaeda
with a botched Afghanistan withdrawal and failed to hold the Chinese
Communist Party accountable for COVID. We must elect Republicans to
push back against his weak leadership.

No matter how high crime rises or
how drastically the consequences affect Wisconsin communities, Tony
Evers remains incapable of standing up for public safety. Last week,
Evers gave his annual State of the State Address. While Evers has
never had a record of success to tout, this time, Wisconsinites were
aghast as he failed to mention rising crime once during his remarks.
On this weekend’s edition of WISN’s UpFront, Tony Evers once again
skirted accountability for his failure to keep our communities safe –
blaming the Legislature for his own failures. Wisconsinites deserve a
governor who will stand up for public safety and protect our
communities amid historic violence across the state. You can read our
statement on the State of the State here, or read Chairman Paul Farrow’s op-ed in
Wisconsin Right Now here.

This week, the Republicans in the
Wisconsin State Legislature passed a slew of election bills aimed to
increase the security of our election process. These commonsense bills
include ensuring non-citizens are not voting, limiting the photo ID
loophole for “indefinitely confined” electors, prohibiting
partisan-outside groups funding of election administration,
maintaining secure voter registration databases, and much more. For
more information on these election reform bills, visit our Election
Integrity Dashboard here.

The White House recently
announced that Joe Biden will stop in Superior next
week to discuss infrastructure following his State of the Union
Address. Of course, amid a state of emergency in Ukraine and a slew of
domestic crises, Wisconsinites are looking for real leadership from
their president – not a midterm photo op for Democrat politicians. If
Biden wants to discuss infrastructure, he should announce that he is
lowering energy costs and bringing back Wisconsin jobs by renewing
construction of Keystone XL and defending the Line 5 pipeline despite
the far-left’s attacks. Unfortunately, Biden’s visit will more than
likely leave much to be desired.

It’s been a difficult two weeks for
Mandela Barnes. First, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported on his efforts to distance himself from his
friends in the “abolish ICE” and “defund the police” movements. Then,
the Journal Sentinel revealed that even following the horrific attack
in Waukesha that resulted from low cash bail for a violent repeat
offender, Mandela Barnes is standing
by his mission to
abolish cash bail across the country. Public safety is a top concern
for Wisconsin families, and neither Barnes’ views that are
out-of-touch with the mainstream, nor his efforts to duck, dodge, and
waffle to appease the far-left, will inspire confidence in Wisconsin
voters.

In Case You Missed
It…
Democrat State Representative and
Wisconsin Democrat Party leader Lee Snodgrass channeled Paris Hilton
to gaslight parents about their concerns with transparency in their
children’s curriculum. In the now-deleted tweet, Snodgrass advised
parents – whose taxpayer dollars already support public schools – to
home school their children or pay for private school tuition if they
want to have a say in their children’s education.
Recently, Tony Evers plodded
through his final State of the State address. Unfortunately for Evers,
he has no accomplishments to highlight – so he instead blamed others
for his failed record, took credit for Republicans’ accomplishments,
and referenced allocations from his taxpayer-funded re-election slush
fund that he isn’t even spending efficiently.
In case you missed it, the
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported on Mandela Barnes’ newfound claims
that he doesn’t support the far-left “Defund the Police” or “Abolish
ICE” movements – despite the years of tweets, endorsements, and even
T-shirts that suggest otherwise. Despite Barnes’ efforts to duck,
dodge, and waffle until November, he has already shown voters that he
stands with criminals and the far-left instead of Wisconsin families.
Now more than ever, Wisconsin needs a straight-shooter on policies
that are critical to keeping the public safe.
