John – thanks for not scrolling away. I know this isn't my first time in your inbox, but I wanted to make sure you understand exactly how important our campaign here in Iowa is.

You see, Sen. Grassley has been my senator for my entire life. I've watched as, under his "leadership," families like mine were left behind and the good-paying jobs that were once in abundance trickled away. That's what happens when the people in Washington don't fight for the people they were elected to serve.

Iowa needs to show Sen. Grassley the door, and Democrats need to expand our Senate majority if we want any chance of moving our country forward for working class families. 

Luckily, this election year, we have a real shot to do both. Right now, Sen. Grassley is showing weakness in his poll numbers, per a top Iowa pollster. He's facing record-low approval ratings, and only 27% of likely Iowa voters want to reelect him. 

This is our chance to flip this seat blue and expand our Senate majority, but I can't defeat Sen. Grassley without you. The GOP is sitting on a war chest of more than $39 MILLION dedicated to defeating Democrats like me and taking back the Senate. It'll take massive grassroots resources to compete with their funds.

We still need to raise another $18,550 by midnight tonight to stay on track with February's fundraising. So, John, that's why I have to ask you to make your first donation of $5 to our must-win Senate race: Will you please donate right now to defeat Sen. Chuck Grassley in Iowa and expand our Democratic majority in the Senate?
