The run-up to the 2020 Democratic primary has heavily featured the candidates’ differing plans to achieve our shared healthcare goals: ensuring that every American is covered, that healthcare costs don’t bankrupt our families, and that we get the treatment we deserve.
MEANWHILE, the GOP is doing everything it can to undermine the progress we’ve made. They’ve never stopped trying to repeal the ACA in Congress AND in the courts, leaving no safety net for people with pre-existing conditions and harming the health of millions. The only reason we didn’t lose our healthcare in 2017 was that America spoke up and flooded congressional offices with calls and emails and letters demanding their representatives and senators do their jobs and not play political games with our healthcare.
