As more meth, heroin, and fentanyl cross our border for cartel profit, American citizens are paying the costs with their lives. In 2020, CBP seized over 4,700 lbs of fentanyl, a deadly drug so toxic that 3 milligrams of the substance can be fatal. However, in 2021 CBP seized over 11,200 lbs of the substance. Since the day President Biden took office, he has ignored the crisis at the southern border that drug cartels continue exploiting. It’s time that this administration takes this problem seriously.
