Keeping Critical Race Theory Out of Texas Schools

I held a press conference this morning at the Capitol about keeping Critical Race Theory out of our public schools. CRT teaches students that they are either a victim or an oppressor based on the color of their skin. This racist ideology has no place in our children's curriculum! We want students to be taught how to think critically, not be indoctrinated with Marxist, left-wing propaganda. Tenured professors must not be able to hide behind the phrase 'academic freedom,' and then proceed to poison the minds of our next generation. During the upcoming 88th Legislative Session, one of my priorities will be eliminating tenure at all public universities in Texas. Watch my press conference here and read my official statement here.
