Look, I’m just going to cut to the chase – No Dem Left Behind is really hurting this month.

Here’s the problem in a nutshell: February has all the same bills and expenses as every other month of the year, but fewer fundraising days to cover the costs.

Bottom line? We need to raise $13,000 in the next 8 days, or we’re going to have to make some very tough choices before March 1st.

I really don’t want to have to cancel or even delay the plans we’ve been making to launch our grassroots rural organizing program, make endorsements in more rural races, and flip more rural seats Blue in 2022.

But right when we need to be starting to aggressively investing in things like recruiting and training organizers, building media campaigns, and buying ad placements, we’re instead trying to figure out where we can cut back our expenses just to keep the lights on.

John, I’m just going to ask you straight up: Do you really want to flip more rural seats blue this year and expand our Democratic majority?

Or would you rather sit back and watch the GQP take over Washington, just as long as you don’t have to donate to any more of these annoying fundraising pitches?

I hate to put it in such stark terms, but THAT’S the choice you’re facing right now.

The sad fact is, we’re already WAY BEHIND compared to the record-breaking millions flowing into the GQP’s campaign coffers. Sure, some of that is fat-cat corporate money, but not all of it.

If there’s anything we’ve learned from the last few years, it’s that far too many ordinary Republicans will happily give their last penny to a grifter like Trump just as long as they think he’ll use it to “hurt the right people” … meaning, of course, racial minorities, immigrants, non-Christians, LGBTQIA+ folks, poor people, and especially Democrats like you and me.

Hatred like that is a powerful motivator, and that is what we’re up against. 

You may have lost some of your enthusiasm for President Biden and the Democratic Party, you may be feeling demoralized after a difficult year of fighting uphill against the obstruction of the GQP and a couple of Democratic sellouts …

… but the other side? They’re fueled by hate and anger, and their gas tanks are filled to the brim. They’re fired up and ready to go.

It’s hard to compete against that level of passion.

If you’re comfortable sitting back and watching while the GQP takes over the House and Senate in ’22, puts Trump back in the White House in ’24, and destroys American democracy as we know it, then close this email now and don’t bother reading any further.

But if you know in your heart that America deserves better … that the world deserves better … that WE deserve better than the death of the American dream, then please consider rushing a contribution to No Dem Left Behind right now.

The fact is, we can’t even HOLD a Democratic majority without investing in rural voters. Expanding our majority enough to get past the GQP’s filibuster stranglehold on progress will DEFINITELY require us to flip some rural seats.

No Dem Left Behind has a plan to do it.  We’re primed and ready to go.  But without the financial fuel we need to get this project moving, I’m afraid we’ll remain stalled at the starting line … or worse.

Like I said, we need to raise $13,000 in the next eight days just to keep our heads above water.

But I’m hoping supporters like you will step up now and raise even more than that so No Dem Left Behind doesn’t just survive the month of February, but finishes it THRIVING … so we can spend the coming months focused less on keeping the lights on and more on our mission to FLIP MORE RURAL SEATS BLUE!
