In celebration of Black History Month, Luke joined the annual African American History Parade Celebration in Shreveport, Louisiana. It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of this event.

But the best way to honor Black History Month this year is not only understanding the struggles that African Americans faced throughout U.S. history but rising up to defend our voting rights and protect the future of our democracy.

Our great state has the second-highest percentage of African Americans in the country, yet Senator Kennedy rejects voting rights legislation and tried to overturn a free and fair election.

Louisiana needs responsible leaders who fight to ensure EVERY community can make their voice heard and vote count — no matter their zip code.
