Cameron County, Texas Halts Voter Purge In Response to Voto Latino Efforts!

Help us register and mobilize voters [[link removed]]

This is huge, John: In response to our legal advocacy efforts to protect voting rights, election officials in Cameron County, Texas just announced that they will halt planned efforts to purge registered voters from their rolls.

This is a huge win for Texas voters -- especially young Latinx voters, who are disproportionately impacted by unfair and illegal voter purges.

But if we’re going to flip Texas blue in November, keeping voters on the rolls is not enough. Instead, we need to double down on our efforts to register and mobilize young Latinos. Our proven model helped flip swing states like Arizona and Georgia in 2020, and we know we can replicate our success in 2022.

Every $18 we raise helps us get one more Latinx voter registered and turned out to vote. How many voters can you help us register? [[link removed]]

We’re thrilled at this victory, but we also know our fight is far from over. Republican lawmakers are still on a scorched earth campaign across the country to restrict voting rights, and it’s up to us to fight back.

As our CEO María Teresa Kumar said, “We’ll use every tool at our disposal to defend against attacks on the power our community has at the ballot box.” That includes harnessing the political power of young Latinos by getting them registered and turned out to vote for Democrats.

There are hundreds of thousands of young Latinos to register, and every $18 we raise helps us reach one more. So please, don’t delay: Rush your contribution now so we can mobilize young Latinos and secure Democratic victories in November. [[link removed]]

We’re counting on you!
