Right now, Republican senators are trying to siphon critical funding away from our public schools and toward tax breaks for large companies and corporations under the guise of “school choice.”

Make no mistake: This is about defunding our public schools and raising our property taxes. They are automatically increasing the largest and least transparent tax credit in the Commonwealth by 25% per year, while the schools that educate 90% of our kids struggle to get even a 2 or 3% increase each year.

Team, public schools are the backbone of our state, and I won’t sit by while GOP lawmakers choose to prioritize corporate bottom lines over our next generation of leaders. Will you join me in the fight to protect public education? [[link removed]]
