Folks,

It is past time for a Black woman to be nominated to the highest court in the land.

Out of the 115 Supreme Court justices to serve our country, all but seven of them have been white men. With the Court overseeing landmark cases on reproductive rights, healthcare, workers’ rights, environmental degradation, and so much more, it’s critical that there is diversity and representation on the bench.

If you believe it’s time to make history and confirm the first Black woman to the Supreme Court, sign my petition.

Mitch McConnell and the Senate GOP had no problem blocking President Obama’s appointee months out from the 2016 election and ramming Trump’s justices through the confirmation process — even in the last days of the 2020 election. Senate Democrats must work together to review and confirm President Biden’s appointee with all deliberate speed.

With only 9 months until the midterm elections, we can’t forgo this crucial opportunity to fill a vacant seat on the Court.

Republicans are attacking voting rights, abortion access, and more at the state level and in the federal court system. We need to ensure there are justices on the Supreme Court who will fight to protect every American's basic liberties and fundamental freedoms.

If you’re with me, sign my petition supporting the nomination of the first Black woman to the Supreme Court and urging my Senate Democratic colleagues to confirm President Biden’s nominee as quickly as possible.

The Supreme Court plays a key role in upholding our country’s Constitution — let’s make sure we take this opportunity to confirm a Justice who is committed to protecting these values on the Court.

Thank you for your support.
