Ever since I announced my campaign, folks I see at Harris Teeter or Bojangles… or pretty much anywhere else I go, have been asking me the same question: Why are you running again?
The answer is simple: I want to give something back to the place I love and the people who gave me my microphone.
…And I had the best teacher on how to do just that: Congressman David Price.
David Price was the first elected official I ever met. For those of you who don’t know him well, he was never a flashy politician… he focused on helping folks in his district with everyday issues.
I really lucked out… Over the past 35 years I’ve gotten a master class in how representatives in Washington can make a difference by bringing incredible amounts of federal funding and attention to the needs of the Triangle!
Ever since meeting David Price in the 8th grade, I have cared about politics and making a difference in my community. Today, I’m asking you to join Team Clay. Here’s a few ways to get involved:

I am a 10th generation North Carolinian. I grew up in the Triangle, went to school here, and taught in Wake County Schools as a special education teacher.
This journey started in the 8th grade… at Leesville Middle School in Wake County all those years ago (no need to get into just how many… ;)). David Price inspired me to run for office. Now, I hope to inspire you to find your voice on our campaign.

- Clay
Clay is running for Congress in the North Carolina 6th. He was born, raised, and is currently raising his son in the Triangle. He's running to use his voice to speak up and stop the loudest voices on the far ends of the political spectrum from sucking up all the oxygen in our political discourse.
Donate now to join the chorus and help send Clay to Congress. [[link removed]]
