Internship Opportunity with Don Beyer

 About Friends of Don Beyer Campaign: The Friends of Don Beyer campaign is seeking an intern for the Spring Semester. Congressman Beyer is running for re-election in Virginia’s 8th Congressional District.
Reports to: Campaign Manager
Commitment: 15-20 hours per week at $15 per hour.
Position Summary: This intern will be a vital member of the campaign. Their work will focus on supporting all aspects of the campaign, especially assisting the Field Director. Some work on nights and weekends may be required. The ideal candidate will live in the 8th district or within a reasonable commuting distance and have access to a vehicle.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to, drafting social media posts, communicating with volunteers, assisting in our field operation, managing/updating database and other lists, and supporting the overall administration of the campaign office.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Prospective interns should have a strong interest in supporting progressive House members and candidates.
- A willingness to learn about political campaigns.
- Strong writing skills and highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and G-Suite. Willingness to learn campaign tools such as NGP, Votebuilder, and Mobilize.
- Prior electoral experience is preferred, but not required
