DCYRs November Membership Meeting

Please join the DC Young Republicans tonight at the Capitol Hill Club!

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for networking and drinks (Ca$h Bar) -- bring your Republican friends, coworkers, and interns!

Our special guest is Congressman David Rouzer - with an extensive background in public policy and a wide range of work experience, Congressman Rouzer has quickly distinguished himself as a skilled member of Congress representing North Carolina's 7th Congressional District, which is home to Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, a significant portion of the country’s animal agricultural production, and some of the most beautiful beaches and coastal communities in America.

Congressman Rouzer is also “A rated” by the National Rifle Association with a 100% voting record, endorsed by the National Right to Life and the National Federation of Independent Businesses among many others.

Prior to being elected to Congress in 2014, Congressman Rouzer had been involved in public policy development and implementation and legislative strategy for more than a decade.  His career has taken him from Capitol Hill where he worked with U.S. Senators Jesse Helms and Elizabeth Dole to NC State University's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences to his work with the private sector as a business consultant to his work at USDA Rural Development during the administration of President George W. Bush.  Congressman Rouzer also served two terms in the North Carolina Senate, representing Johnston County and Wayne County, where he was consistently ranked as one of the Legislature’s most effective pro-business members and recognized widely for his leadership in reforming the state’s regulatory structure and cutting costly and unnecessary rules and regulations.
