First: Glenn Youngkin started an email tip line for parents to report teachers teaching “divisive content” in the classroom. A clear tactic meant to instill fear in teachers and prevent them from teaching Virginia’s students about Black history and the truths of Virginia’s sordid past.

Then: Parents, Teachers, and students alike stood up to this undemocratic snitch-line and have taken action in numerous ways — with teens flooding the tip line with spam to parents writing op-eds in local newspapers.

Now: The Governor’s office has denied Virginians access to the tip line correspondence – which should be available under the Freedom of Information Act.

We don’t know what he’s hiding, but we do know that he needs to be held accountable. Make a contribution to help Virginia Democrats continue to work to hold Glenn Youngkin’s feet to the fire.

Governor Youngkin is quickly learning that he can’t run the Commonwealth like he used to run his business – he can’t hide information from the public when it inconveniences him.
