This month and always, we honor the Black Americans that came before us. We celebrate and stand with them in the fight for racial justice.

Friend,

First and foremost, I wanted to say thank you so much to each and every one of you who renewed your 2022 support for the Fairness Project over the past month.

We’re grateful for your generosity and dedication to protecting direct democracy. Your support does so much to help us prepare a full slate of powerful ballot measure campaigns in the lead-up to this November’s midterms.

As we continue our fight for social, racial, and economic justice into 2022 and beyond, today, we wanted to take some time to recognize and celebrate Black History Month — a time to celebrate and uplift the vital contributions of Black Americans to our country.

This month and always, we honor the Black Americans that came before us. Those that dedicated their lives to progressive movements of the past, present, and future. We celebrate and stand with them in the fight for racial justice.

From bringing workers livable wages to expanding health care access, guaranteeing paid family and medical leave policies, bringing accountability to policing through civilian oversight, and our continued fight to defend direct democracy and access to the ballot box, we’re working to make the United States a more equitable place for all — one ballot measure at a time.

There’s so much work that still must be done, but we believe that together, we can fuel the fight against racial injustice in our country.

Thanks for fighting alongside us,

Kelly Hall

Thanks to grassroots supporters like you, our team at the Fairness Project has won 23 people-powered ballot measure campaigns since 2016, changing over 18 million lives by expanding health care, raising wages, guaranteeing paid leave, and ending predatory lending directly at the ballot box when politicians refuse to act. Your support allows us to make this progress possible.
