Last week, Cleveland-based Market Garden Brewery reached an agreement with NWO Beverage to begin distribution of its GABF award-winning beers in the Toledo and Northwestern Ohio region. Market Garden Co-Founder Michael Foran says he feels “both comfortable and confident with NWO Beverage having successfully operated in that region for years on both a macro and craft level.”
State legislation aims to free alcohol distributors
Michigan lawmakers on Thursday sent a bill to Gov. Gretchen Whitmer that aims to protect the independence of the state’s beer and wine distributors. The measures would make it illegal for suppliers to require a wholesaler to provide financial records for other brands, employee compensation, or business operations not directly related to the distribution of the supplier’s brands.
