What's going on this week for Atlanta DSA?

☕ Support Starbucks Workers United ☕

Capitalism 102. Monday, January 24 2022. 6:00PM EST. Sign up at atldsa.org/capitalism102. ATL DSA

Starbucks is unionizing in Atlanta! Support Atlanta Starbucks Workers United by placing an order with the name "UNION YES!" Stop by the Starbucks in The District at Howell Mill (1801 Howell Mill Rd. Atlanta, GA 30318) to let them know the community backs the union!

While there's no ethical consumption under capitalism, community solidarity can build workers' confidence in the union drive and preempt corporate from repression! As Marx said, "What the bourgeoisie therefore produces, above all, are its own grave diggers." ⚰

📄 Fight for $15 Flyering  📄

This weekend marked our chapter's first successful test-run of #Fightfor15 canvassing! While nearly half of working Georgians make less that $15 an hour, the cost of living is skyrocketing and the 1% continue to exploit working people for profit! Enough is enough: Georgians deserve a living wage!

Wanna get involved? Join the Midtown Branch this Saturday, February 5 at 2:00 PM for Fight for $15 flyering downtown! We'll be sharing resources the help workers learn to organize their workplaces. No prior experience is necessary. Please wear a mask; snacks and water will be provided. Stay tuned for more info on our #Fightfor15 campaign in the coming weeks!
