Friends -

I’m writing to you today with an important request. I want to ask you to make a donation to our campaign before Monday's end-of-month fundraising deadline, but before I do, I first want to thank you for everything you’ve done in our fight for justice.

It has now been a full year since voters elected a Democratic trifecta and we took back control of the White House and Senate.

Together we have delivered relief to millions during this devastating pandemic, and passed a historic infrastructure bill. But the simple fact is that we need to gear up to pass even more ambitious legislation.

That means fighting for the critical climate provisions from the Build Back Better package, comprehensive voting rights and democracy reform, a $15 minimum wage, the abolition of the filibuster and more.

It means passing meaningful, progressive legislation that will significantly impact the lives of working people all across the country.

This fight will not be easy.

With the 2022 midterm elections and a Supreme Court vacancy on the horizon, you can be certain that our opponents in the fossil fuel lobby and special interest groups have made stopping this agenda a top priority.

That’s why we need to be doing everything we can — right now — to grow and build support for our movement, and elect more strong progressive candidates up and down the ballot, all across the country.

But the reality is that organizing on the scale this moment demands takes a significant amount of resources, and right now we’re behind on our monthly fundraising goal. So I need to ask:

As you may know, the vast majority of the contributions we receive comes from small-dollar, grassroots donors chipping in what they can, usually to emails like this one.

That’s how we funded our campaign in 2020, where together we organized and mobilized an unprecedented movement centered on policies that prioritized working people. And it’s how we won.

That is a fight that must continue here in 2022 and beyond. Thank you for being a part of it.
