Team —

In South Dakota, a proposed amendment has been introduced that would require large state expenditures to receive 60% voter approval before going into effect — that’s right: 60% of the vote for South Dakotans to decide how their tax dollars are spent .

Sadly, amendments like these are nothing new… This is just the latest attack on direct democracy, and we won’t have it.

We’re busy fighting off similar attacks across the country, and we need your support to stop these obstructionist ballot measures from gaining momentum. Can you chip in whatever you can today to fuel our Ballot Measure Rescue Campaign and help us defeat extremist politicians and protect direct democracy? [[link removed]]

Extremist legislators and special interests are using ballot measures to deny the will of the people, and create red tape for the passage of popular, life-saving policies. We can’t let them win, team, but we need your support to fight off these attacks in more states across the country.

Is this an effort you can throw your support behind, friend? Chip in now to help fuel our Ballot Measure Rescue Campaign and protect direct democracy! [[link removed]]
