It’s no secret that Americans pay far too much for healthcare. Hospitals charge new moms to hold their babies, ambulance rides can cost thousands of dollars, and insulin can be more than some people’s rents.
This is not okay. Congress needs to act to solve this crisis, and where they can start is the price of prescription drugs. H.R. 3 would allow Medicare and Medicaid to lower drug prices through negotiation and create price caps for prescription drugs so that Americans don’t pay exorbitant prices.
