Hey folks! Happy to have you on the team. When we announced my run for Congress, I was overwhelmed by the immediate support we received.
Things are moving fast and the election will be here before you know it. That’s why my team is wasting no time building up the resources we need to run a winning strategy. Can I count on you to chip in $5 (or whatever you can) right now? [[link removed]]
Not quite ready? That’s ok. Let me tell you a bit more about me and why I decided to run in North Carolina's 6th district…
I was born and raised in the Triangle. In fact, my family has lived in the Triangle since 1768! To say I love my home state of North Carolina is an understatement. It’s where I first discovered I had a voice, where I grew up and was taught character and compassion.
This district is an open seat for the first time in 55 years. Democratic congressman David Price is retiring. It is Congressman Price who first sparked my interest in politics back when I was in the eighth grade. And for almost four decades, he has shown all of us what it means to be a real public servant.
In recent years, leaders have found their way to power that do not speak to the North Carolina I know and love. I talk to my neighbors and know I’m not alone in those feelings. Folks like Madison Cawthorn and Mark Robinson take up all the oxygen in the room, and frankly, I’m sick of it. They don’t represent me, my state, or our community. I don’t see them fighting to make our lives better, I just see them... well... just fighting.
And I know these folks ain’t quieting down any time soon. So I’m going to do what I do: use my voice to speak up and stop them from ruining our state’s reputation and standing in the way of progress for our communities.
That’s why I’m running for Congress. I’m running here in this community that raised me and I'm now raising my family in, and where I first discovered my voice.
Are you with me? Instantly add your name to let me know I can count on you. [[link removed]]
More soon!
Clay
Clay is running for Congress in the North Carolina 6th. He was born, raised, and is currently raising his son in the Triangle. He's running to use his voice to speak up and stop the loudest voices on the far ends of the political spectrum from sucking up all the oxygen in our political discourse.
