Before leaving office, Gov. Ralph Northam outlined Virginia’s trajectory towards establishing universal broadband thanks, in large part, to the federal investments my colleagues and I voted to secure in Congress. In just a four-year span, Virginia increased broadband investment from $4 million to $2 billion, putting our Commonwealth on the trajectory to ensure robust broadband access for every Virginia community.

This rapid trajectory is thanks to the impact that funding from the American Rescue Plan has had on Virginia, and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act will further ensure our success in creating access across our communities.
