According to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, “Kemp plans to introduce a bill to allow Georgians to carry firearms in public without a permit.”
He cares more about making headlines and riling up his base than he does about enacting policies that’ll improve people’s lives.

Gov. Kemp and his allies are trying to make weakening gun safety a campaign issue (again). They’ve been loosening gun laws for years, and now they want almost anyone to be able to carry a gun in public. It’s a reckless and shameless political stunt.
But here’s the truth: Working people want their leaders to tackle issues like COVID-19 and economic recovery, not put them in danger to throw red meat at their base in order to win elections.
