Team --

Thank you again for joining California YIMBY.

For years, I’ve watched Californians struggle to find housing they could afford.

It was never supposed to be this way. A decent job was supposed to get you a decent apartment or home.

Instead, skyrocketing housing costs have driven young Californians out of the state, forced long-time residents out of their homes, and denied would-be Californians the opportunity to call our state home.

I decided I couldn’t stand to watch what was happening any longer. Californians deserve better. So I stopped watching and did something -- I co-founded California YIMBY.

Now, in the face of COVID-19, we’ve been forced to re-examine how we operate.

We’re still 100% driven by our founding values: to end the housing crisis and make our state affordable and accessible for everyone. But we’re also expanding our scope to recognize and respond to the challenges of the day.

California YIMBY was always meant to be a place for activists to come together, share ideas, and organize for a better future. With that in mind, we’d love to hear your thoughts on how we can adapt our organization’s mission to meet the challenges presented by COVID-19.
SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS Thank you,
