Forty-nine years ago, the Roe v. Wade decision solidified the right for people to make their own choice regarding reproductive care.

Yet, ever since, politicians in this country, including the members of the Treason Caucus, have made it their mission to erode that right. Sadly, in many cases, they have succeeded.

We can't go back to a time when abortion was illegal. People lost their lives or suffered permanent damage to their health because racism, classism, and misogyny forced them into botched, back-alley procedures.

But already, recent restrictions on abortion are forcing people to go through with an unplanned or unwanted pregnancy due to lack of abortion access in their communities. More than 50% of our population shouldn't have to fight for their rights in our democracy, but as long as the Treason Caucus remains in power, the fight must continue.

In the last year alone, there were more than 600 abortion restrictions introduced in state legislatures across the country. At the federal level, members of the Treason Caucus have been hard at work to overturn and undermine Roe v. Wade.

>Texas has been dragging the nation down with some of the most restrictive abortion laws in the county with the help of extremist Republicans, one of them: Ted Cruz.

John, these are just some examples of ways that the Treason Caucus continues to damage our country and attack our rights. Our organization began with the goal of holding these people accountable for the events of January 6, but our mission doesn't end there.

By being avid supporters of anti-choice legislation and pushing dangerous agendas, the Treason Caucus is actively undermining our democracy. We can't move forward (in any area of legislation) unless these people are elected out of office and held accountable.
