I am writing today to ask if you would split a $10 contribution between Steve Sisolak’s re-election campaign in Nevada and mine in California.

I am writing in the spirit of partnership and mutual aid — the spirit that unites all of us on the west coast.

I’ve worked closely with Governor Sisolak over the years. As bordering states, we’ve experienced fires together, mega droughts together, and even earthquakes together.

This year, both of us are experiencing tough elections, as well.

And what I know is that some climate-denying far-right Republican Governor in Nevada would be bad for California, just like some climate-denying far-right Republican Governor in California would be bad for Nevada.

So please:

Can you split a $10 contribution between Steve Sisolak’s re-election campaign in Nevada and my re-election campaign in California? I would not ask if it were not terribly important.

There is no such thing as a leak on your side of the boat when we’re in the same boat. And as bordering states in a climate crisis, we are in the same boat. So thank you in advance for your donation today. It means a lot.
