Today, we commemorate the life and work of Martin Luther King Jr., and the great achievements of the movement he led.
Dr. King reminded us of the fundamental promises made in the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence - “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
The fight to protect those unalienable rights continues today, and we must not forget it.
