Dear John,

60 years ago, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. inspired generations from all different races to come fight for the greater good of our country. It’s a fight we are still fighting today.

He paved the way for us to use our voices, our resources, and our power to come together and stand up for what we believe in. Equality for all.

This is the same message we are trying to promote today – equality for victims of injustice and social disadvantage. It’s something Barrier To Entry PAC is working tirelessly to still change.

But when we look back, we recognize that we are still so far away from uniting our country to understand his message. That’s why young people, progressive leaders, and those who have been marginalized are taking it upon themselves to help restore the message of MLK and continue his service for equality.

None of us will give up.

That is why today is important – we are reminded that service to others is a selfless act and that the arc of justice bends towards freedom.

We celebrate him in that spirit.
