Friend,

I grew up watching my parents run our family-owned restaurant, liquor store and pool hall in my home town of Central.

When my parents wanted to know what was going on in the world, they simply asked their customers.

I have never forgotten the perspectives I gained from listening to the opinions shared by some of those hard-working South Carolinians. My parents didn't always agree with what they heard from our customers, so I learned to be respectful of differing opinions – something we are sorely missing these days.

It's no secret that our nation is sharply divided. To help me guide our common sense, conservative agenda through the U.S. Senate, I've commissioned the 2019 American Agenda Survey.

Friend, I sincerely hope that you'll take just a few minutes right now to complete this important survey.

Your feedback will help me be a better U.S. Senator, so please let me know what you think.

As you know, appointing strict constructionist judges to our courts is one of my top priorities, and nowhere was that more evident than the Democrats' outrageous treatment of Brett Kavanaugh. I was proud to defend him, but I am now paying the political price with a constant avalanche of attacks against me.

In fact, one of my Democratic opponents said it was one of his main reasons for running against me.

National security is also an important issue because it's the primary responsibility of our federal government. For the life of me, I cannot fathom why the leaders of the Democratic Party have chosen partisanship over securing our borders.

I'm unapologetically pro-life, and I am shocked my Democrat colleagues in the Senate – who once told us abortion should be "safe, legal and rare" – have now blocked a bill to prevent infanticide.

The founders of our nation were wise to place freedom of expression and the right to bear arms as our First and Second Amendments to our Constitution. But both of those basic tenets are under increasing attack from those seeking to expand government power.

These and other issues will likely be the focal points of debate between now and Election Day.

So Friend, after you submit your 2019 American Agenda Survey, can I also count on you to include a personal contribution of $10, $25, $50, $100 or more?

Sadly, the days when we listened to each other, instead of shouting past each other, seem to be long gone. That's not how I was raised, and it's why it is so important for me to receive your candid opinions. When you send your survey, I hope you'll also consider including a financial contribution to support my campaign.

It's an honor and a privilege to serve in the Senate, and I look forward hearing from you on the most important issues facing our nation today.

Sincerely,

Lindsey Graham

P.S. As a United States Senator, it's my job to listen to the people I represent. Once I hear the feedback, I can integrate those ideas to find solutions to our nation's toughest problems. Please complete the 2019 American Agenda Survey right now, and after you do, I hope you will also include a personal contribution of $10 or more to Team Graham to help me continue to stand up for the conservative values we share.
