Tell Congress to Pass Clean Energy IncentivesTAKE ACTION

John,
As we speak, sea ice in the Arctic is melting under record-high temperatures一and
soon it could disappear completely. As the ice melts due to heavy carbon
pollution from burning fossil fuels, wildlife like the ringed seal that depend
on the ice for food and shelter are losing crucial portions of their habitat.
But you can speak up for these precious creatures and their habitat. Please urge your members of Congress to support clean energy incentives that
will help move our nation away from polluting fossil fuels and protect people
and wildlife from the impacts of climate change.

TAKE ACTION

The Arctic is known for its year-round cold temperatures, snowy backdrop, and
for the sea ice which is the cornerstone of its ecosystem. But as heat is
trapped in Earth’s atmosphere by carbon pollution caused by human
activities一like burning fossil fuels for energy and driving gas-powered cars一the
Arctic is facing scorching temperatures that threaten to melt all its sea ice
and collapse its fragile ecosystem. In 2018, Arctic temperatures hit 63 degrees Fahrenheit warmer than average. This isn’t normal一and we need to do something about it.
Take action for Arctic wildlife like the ringed seal today.

Congress is currently considering a package of tax proposals, some of which
include tax incentives for clean energy generation一like solar and wind一as well
as energy storage, energy efficiency, and electric vehicles. Clean energy tax
incentives represent our best hope for winnable near-term policies to drive down
deadly carbon pollution while encouraging investment in the clean energy
economy一which helps Americans in every state and protects wildlife from the
catastrophic impacts of climate change. And, these incentives help taxpayers
like you invest in climate solutions!
It’s not too late to fight for the Arctic and its wildlife. Please urge your
members of Congress to support clean energy tax incentives today!
