I’m sure you saw this, but it’s tragic. Between gale-force winds and low humidity, fires are sparking across Southern California.

Brave firefighters and strike teams have fought valiantly to stop the spread of these fires, and I’m glad to hear that many have been quelled, but we still need to address the elephant in the room -- climate change is exacerbating extreme weather events across the country.

My opponent, Rep. David Schweikert, believes our concerns about climate change are overblown. This is precisely why I’m running, so I can work towards facing complex problems, not avoiding them.
