When I was campaigning I promised I would work hard every day to make good things happen for the people of Knoxville. Now, two years into my first term, I am proud of the progress we’ve made.

Created Affordable Housing Fund; $5 million a year for the next 10 years
$8.1 M to affordable housing for 2021-22!

Body worn cameras for KPD officers
Co-response teams
Hero Pay for first responders
Established Office of Community Safety
$1m for violence interruption

Approved Public Broadband for all KUB electric customers
2000+ new jobs to Knoxville
Made KAT buses free for kids through high school
Parks, greenways & urban wilderness improvements across the city
Traffic calming - biggest investment ever
Approved a Multi-Use Stadium that will bring baseball back to Knoxville and host a soccer team, concerts, and other special events
All of this while helping our community navigate a global pandemic. Whew!
