Friends,

Can I count on you to make a donation by the end of the day today? Let me explain why this matters. [[link removed]]

Right here in Pittsburgh, companies are actively punishing their workers for exercising their right to organize. If you haven’t already, take a look at what The Coffee Tree Roasters are doing to quash unionization efforts across their chain: [[link removed]]

Let me be clear: The people who pour our coffee, feed our families, and sustain our economy deserve to make a living wage. They deserve to be safe in the workplace and feel supported in understaffed conditions. But above all, our workers deserve to be treated with dignity and basic respect.

Friends, now is the time to show anti-union organizers exactly how committed we are to defending our workers and their right to organize.

Will you join me in standing up for working Pennsylvanians? In the fight to support our workers and enact an economy that benefits all of us, every dollar counts. [[link removed]]

When I worked for the National Whistleblowers Center, I was fired for trying to organize a staff union to ensure fair working conditions and wages for myself and my colleagues.

But I fought then, and team, I’m fighting now to make sure our workers receive the protections they’re due.

As long as I’m your state senator, I will never stop championing hardworking Pennsylvanians. And team, I hope you’ll stand with me.
