Irish government seizes over 265,000 litres of alcohol worth over €1.4million at Dublin Port during October

The alcohol was discovered following the examination of eleven unaccompanied trailers that arrived separately into Dublin Port from the UK and Belgium. These seizures are part of Ireland’s on-going operations targeting the illegal importation, supply and sale of alcohol in the shadow economy.

Dry no more: New York town passes first alcohol sale laws since Prohibition

For over 86 years, no one could buy a beer in Argyle, N.Y. That changed Tuesday when voters passed multiple referendums that will allow restaurants, bars and stores to sell alcohol within town borders. Voters in this town of 3,700 near the Vermont border had decided in 11 previous elections dating back to 1933 to remain dry.

Bud Light is coming out with hard seltzer

Bud Light Seltzer will debut in the first quarter of 2020. One can has 100 calories, 2 grams of carbs and 5% alcohol by volume. It will be available in four flavors, including black cherry, lemon lime, strawberry and mango. The beverages will be sold as 12-packs in variety or single flavors and as individual 25-ounce cans.
