ASBN Live - Upcoming Webinars

Wednesday, January 12 at 3pm ET - Revolutionizing ESG from the Board Down

ASBN invites you to join us for Revolutionizing ESG from the Board Down, a conversation between Michael O'Leary (Managing Director, Engine No.1) and Jeffrey Hollender (CEO, ASBN).

Engine No. 1 is an investment firm purpose-built to create long-term value and bring common sense back to capitalism. Last May, Engine No. 1 shocked the oil-and-gas industry when Exxon shareholders, frustrated by weak returns and the U.S. leader's flagging attention to climate concerns, elected three of its four nominated directors to Exxon's board. Investors said the fund's small budget could become a template for low-cost proxy contests.

Media Event: 4 National Business Organizations to Call for Senate to Act on Voting Rights Measures Even if it Means Rules Reform

ASBN invites you to join us for a media event on Tuesday, January 11 at 12pm ET as four national business organizations discuss their support for the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. It is imperative that the voice of business, especially small business, be included in the voting rights debate. The future of our entrepreneurial economy is at stake.

The American Sustainable Business Network, Main Street Alliance, Small Business for America's Future, & Small Business Majority collectively represent about 500,000 small businesses. They have joined together to advocate for the Senate to pass Freedom to Vote and the John Lewis measures, even if it requires changing Senate rules to enable passage and preserve voting rights.

Please join us for this media event. Invited speakers include Senators Am Klobuchar (D-MN), Tim Kaine (D-VA), Angus King (D-ME), Joe Manchin (D-WV), Jeff Merkley (D-OR), Alex Padilla (D-CA), Jon Tester (D-MT), Rev. Raphael Warnock (D-GA), and Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY).

ASBN Special Event

Thursday, January 13 at 1pm ET - Regenerative Agriculture and Justice - Farm Bill and 2022 Policy Priorities

ASBN and the Regenerative Agriculture and Justice Working Group invite you to their special event on Farm Bill and 2022 Policy Priorities Special Event, Part Two. These sessions are planned as a lead-up to the working group voting on and establishing their 2022 policy priorities. Participation in this working group is normally restricted to ASBN members, but in the spirit of education, we are opening this speakers series to our broader network. If you are interested in how policy can be used to advance the goals of regenerative agriculture and a more just and equitable food system, this is a great opportunity to learn about the work key players are doing in the space.

Part 2 will feature speakers from the following organizations:

  • Federation of Southern Cooperatives/Land Assistance Fund
  • National Family Farm Coalition
  • Earthjustice
