It’s officially election year and Jessica Mason (TX-30) is just 40 days out from the beginning of early voting for her primary!

If you remember, Jessica was running to primary 29-year-incumbent Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson – that was until EBJ announced her retirement in November. Since then, the ballot grew to nine candidates.

But Jessica was in the fight before all this. She was ready to take on EBJ and represent real change in her district where she was born and raised. She didn’t wait to run until things looked easier because she was always up for the challenge.

On February 14th, the primary election’s early voting begins and we need to provide Jessica with all the support she needs to win this election. Jessica has the lived experience of her district and the challenges they face. She’s attended the schools in the district and has worked as an affordable housing coordinator for her community.

After her time in the Navy as a medic, she chose to return to South Dallas and EBJ had become compliant with the issues in her district. She knew it was time for someone young and fresh to shake things up. We are so proud to support someone like Jessica.

So now we need to make sure she receives the funds she needs to win this primary. Election year means more costs for digital advertising, staffing, campaign materials… & the list goes on and on.
