Reproductive freedom is a winning issue — victories in Kentucky and Virginia show us the way forward

John—

I am so, so proud of every NARAL Pro-Choice America member today. Because of the work of thousands of people like you, we’ve made huge steps forward for reproductive freedom in state and municipal elections in places like Kentucky, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Iowa, California, Texas and more.

Voter turnout yesterday was at a record high for a year without federal elections, thanks in no small part to women across the country who led the way and organized their home districts to turn out voters who support abortion rights.1

Donate $15 to NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC now to ensure that we can continue to overcome anti-choice extremists in 2020 and capitalize on the momentum behind full reproductive freedom for everyone, everywhere in the United States.

Because of you, we were able to fund important messaging research that helped us prove that reproductive freedom is a winning issue.

With the backing of this research, we helped convince people that the conventional wisdom is wrong — voters want to hear from candidates on abortion, and politicians who support the full spectrum of reproductive choices win.

And we didn’t just win, we triumphed:

  • Flipping both houses of the Virginia General Assembly into pro-choice hands.2
  • Electing a pro-choice governor in deep-red Kentucky.3
  • Kicking a Republican who wanted to put ankle monitors on pregnant women to stop them from seeking abortion care out of office.4,5
  • Re-electing a delegate who was smeared by anti-choice extremists for daring to suggest that pregnant people be trusted to make the best decisions for themselves and their families.6

Local elections matter. Voter turnout matters. Because when we show up and organize, we WIN.

But we can only do this together — make a contribution of $15, or whatever you can afford, to NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC ensure anti-choice extremists don’t bounce back from these losses.

Because anti-choice organizations are rabid, well-funded, and have no qualms relying on disinformation in order to mislead the public and influence elections.7

We can’t let anti-choice extremists dominate this narrative with fear mongering and deception — we must be prepared to double-down in 2020 and be ready for every lie, every dirty trick they try to pull.

Because without truth on their side, there’s no bottom to how low they’ll sink.

Rush a contribution of $15 to NARAL Pro-Choice America PAC now to build our war chest and strike a decisive blow for the 7 in 10 pro-choice majority in 2020.

A coordinated, strategic plan is necessary to build the future we want for women and families across this nation. NARAL Pro-Choice America members have already proved that we’re ready to organize, mobilize, and capitalize on the momentum behind our deep, passionate commitment to reproductive freedom.

Show the world we’re ready to make 2020 one for the history books:
