The events of January 6 didn't happen by accident, John.

In the morning of January 3, 2020, four days before the insurrection, Capitol Police Intelligence issued a report warning members of the force of a possible threat from protests supporting Trump's Big Lie.

The report even acknowledged that "Congress itself is the target on the 6th" and several high-profile members of Congress were expected to participate.

From the onset, these people were targeting the pillars of our democracy while being aided by public servants who chose to betray their oath of office and break away from our democracy.
